Organisation of an assembly

A member of the university community (student, doctoral student, employee) who wishes to organise an assembly on the Jagiellonian University premises — following the Procedure for the organisation of assemblies by members of the university community on the Jagiellonian University premises – is required to notify the Rector of the Jagiellonian University at least 24 hours before the assembly.

In the notification, the assembly organiser shall specify in particular:

  1. the name and surname of the assembly organiser, the course and year of study (students / doctoral students) or the JU organisational unit in which the employee(s) is/are employed, the e-mail address (within the student.uj.edu.pl, doctoral.uj.edu.pl, uj.edu.pl or cm-uj.krakow.pl domains) and telephone number enabling contact with him/her, including effective delivery of the JU Rector's decisions concerning assemblies;
  2. purpose of the assembly;
  3. the programme of the assembly;
  4. the date, start time, end time and the place of the assembly;
  5. the expected duration and the people in charge of the assembly;
  6. planned number of participants;
  7. names and surnames of people invited by the assembly organiser (who are not students, doctoral students or JU employees);
  8. measures to ensure the peaceful conduct of the assembly, if envisaged by the organiser of the assembly.

The notification must be submitted to:

  • to a security staff member by sending an e-mail from the address within the domains: student.uj.edu.pl, doctoral.uj.edu.pl, uj.edu.pl or cm-uj.krakow.pl to the e-mail address: zgromadzenia@uj.edu.pl,
  • or using the Correspondence Register located in the Collegium Novum building at ul. Gołębia 24 in Kraków.

Further steps of the procedure concerning the organisation of the assembly depend, among other things, on the decisions taken by the Rector.
