If you observe a potential fire hazard that you are unable to deal with yourself, please inform the Fire Safety Inspectorate.
The categories of situations posing a fire risk that should be reported to the Inspectorate include:
- failure to comply with the smoking ban;
- storage of combustible materials on general routes for evacuation;
- objects (obstacles) placed on general routes for evacuation in such a way that their width or height is reduced below the required values specified in the technical and construction regulations;
- evacuation doors closed in a way preventing their immediate use in case of fire or any other emergency when evacuation is necessary;
- fire doors and gates blocked in such a way that they cannot close automatically in case of fire;
- prevented or restricted access to fire extinguishers and fire-fighting equipment
- (e.g. hydrants), evacuation exits, electricity switches and distribution boards, main gas valves etc.;
- other situations where such activities are carried out that could cause a fire, its spread or prevent rescue or evacuation operations.
