Any victim or witness of a criminal offence (a situation of a direct threat to life or health) has the right to call the police (or other state services responsible for maintaining public order and internal security) to the Jagiellonian University premises.

The person who has called the Police to the University premises is at the same time required to inform the porter or another person authorised by the Rector to call the police (e.g. an employee of the Rector's Guard, a hall of residence manager, or a caretaker on duty).

The person authorised by the Rector to call the police, who has received information that the police have been called to the University premises, is required to notify the JU Rector, or in his/her absence the JU Chancellor, immediately, but no later than within 24 hours, by e-mail (rektor@uj.edu.pl; kanclerz@uj.edu.pl) or in writing.
