Evacuation

In case an evacuation is announced:

  1. Secure your work area by switching off electrical equipment, including heating equipment, close the windows and doors (but do not lock them) and leave the room immediately, taking your personal belongings.
  2. Go towards the evacuation exit along properly marked evacuation routes (green signs and arrows).
  3. Do not use the lift during evacuation.
  4. In case of heavy smoke on the escape routes, move in a bent-forward position with your head as low to the floor as possible (lower temperature and less smoke).
  5. If necessary, protect your airways with a moist handkerchief to make breathing easier and prevent the burning of the airways.
  6. Confirm your presence with the evacuation coordinator at the assembly point.
  7. If heavy smoke or fire prevents your evacuation, choose a place as far away from the source of the fire as possible, alert the building security service and fire brigade, give your exact location, and wait for help.
